A Pew Research Center report defines five generations for people born between these dates:
- Millennial Generation: 1981 or later
- Generation X: 1965 to 1980
- Baby Boomers: 1946 to 1964
- Silent Generation: 1928 to 1945
- Greatest Generation: 1927 or earlier
