The true meaning of "capital"

I was going to quote two paragraphs, but the Terms of Use are, um, very corporate.

You still might find the page on capital interesting. But don't quote from it! Their "Terms of Use" page says something like they have the right to castrate your heirs if you do.

In The Story of Economics (page 6) Joseph Pluta defines "capital" as "goods used to make other goods". Okay, but be sure to include money among those goods! Very often, when people speak of capital they mean money used to make more money.
