Unfortunately, Milton Friedman was wrong about what "the right thing" is.

My first reaction when I read Friedman's statement was: Well that explains the current mess in Congress.
If I am right about that, then the problem goes back far before the Trump years, or Martin Gross or Rush Limbaugh or any of those guys. It goes back to Milton Friedman.
Too bad Friedman didn't manage to get the economics right, before he gained control of the national consciousness. I have to put him as the high priest of the Accepted Thinkers who are herding us toward the Lemming Cliffs of our next Dark Age.
And since the insurrection, I have understood that we are much farther along that path than I had previously thought.
